Scotty Barnhart recording Say It Plain, the title track of his debut solo album for Unity Music

Trumpeter Scotty Barnhart recorded two sessions at Piety Studios in New Orleans for his album Say It Plain. Here, producer Delfeayo Marsalis arranges for percussionist Herlin Riley to record with pianist Bill Peterson, bassist Rodney Jordan, drummer Leon Anderson Jr., and Rick Lollar on guitar. Say It Plain was recorded in one take.
